Ras'kahs story is on a roll now, please go to the sister gallery to give support to the story and it's team. All the concepts, story and hopefully even the comic itself after we resolve some stupid legal issue with publishing will be posted there.

Also you can join up as part of the team if you want to enter input, concepts, ideas and so on. Everything will be looked at and considered for sure, final word is by the main team though.

Right now we are focusing on concept design for the different races and species of the world of Tranglor, while and I spend the week getting world history, workings and ect done.

Also any of those who have created characters for the contest and want their characters part of the main story will be added to the characters gallery. Along with any art the creators or team does for them.

Artists Of The Week

A little bit of reading to start off my next contest this Journal will be covering the intelligent races of my world all in which you can create a character in. Elemental dragons and white dragons are off bounds though.

History, back story, and Religion will be covered at a bit later of a date... it's a lot of writing.

Dragons
Dragons otherwise known as Silaviran in the ancient tung we made by the Gods to watch over Tranglor and protect her from harm, though countless ages have passed these values are still held by most of the species but time has tainted some and instead they worry more for a higher gain themselves.

Dragons in this world are based on mammals therefore being furred and not scaled therefore the anatomy matching as well. Most dragons anatomy is similar to that of a wolf or bear but more elongated and with a bit of the traditional reptilian touch. They have three toes a foot if having any, and all dragons except for sea dragons have manes in varying lengths. Male dragons tend to be larger then females with broader snouts and a thicker body, where as females are more slender and have learner snouts. Also females may have cheek tuff though they never have chin tuff.

White Dragons are a rare and revered breed being a combination of all the elements, they are often seen as life givers. White dragons are void of all selfish thoughts truly devoting themselves to the protection of the terra and those that reside on it. Their colouring consist of white tans and creams with feathered wings and long manes. The counter to the white dragons are black dragons who's hate and selfishness has grown to a point that it has consumed them, being a void of magic and hence life for life is made of the elements.

Off spring of dragons are not always the type that the parents are and can vary especially when theres a mix in the family history. Hence though it is not common a land dragon can be born from to sky dragons. Dragons are also born in whatever form the parent chooses to give birth and though most dragons tend to stay in their normal form some dragons are born in human, this usually happens in a cultures where the two live side by side. Despite the fact that dragons can take human form though, human and dragons can not mate as the genetics are far to different. Also each dragon is born with an element, sky dragons with two. Their magic tends to also have a subtype, ie a earth dragon can be plant or ground.

Land - These Dragons have no wings and therefore cannot fly. Do not doubt there powers though as they are stronger physically then any other dragon and are usually faster. They depend on brute strength instead of elemental powers and are usually more rash and hot headed then other dragon types. Most land dragons are about 8 feet high at full height and 12 feet long, though size does vary. Their anatomy is based off of wolven, and bear skeletal, of course with a dragon like flare.

Sky - Sky dragons resemble your typical western dragon, though they are two legged and have arms for forelimbs. They are often based around two elemental types. Their manes are a pride of theirs as every sky dragon has one. Sky dragons being free spirited are often lazy and calm though they can be quite dangerous when ticked off. Sky dragons emotions are also eractic and mood swings happen often.

Water - Water dragons are hard to understand, they are mysterious and their ways of thinking are far different from humans along with emotions. They come in three types, sea dragons, river dragons, and other. Sea dragons look like long serpents, their bodies can be up to 120 feet long, and they have no limbs. River dragons look similar to your typical eastern dragon and are covered in long thick fur. The other specie of dragon is derived from land dragons, they occupy small bodies of waters, ponds, creeks, and possibly rivers so long as it is not the territory of a river dragon. Dragons other then the sea dragon though tend to be a lot smaller about the length of two horses.

Treasure - Treasure Dragons have a great love for well treasure and a major "shiny" complex ie; if it sparkles they must have it. These dragons are eccentric in nature, and vary vastly from dragon to dragon in personality. Treasure dragons have a knack for magic that most other dragons do not but they are weaker physically. Spend a lot of time in human form as they can be more accurate with creating and are well known for odd inventions. ie; artist, authors, most are inventors. as a side note treasure dragons are terrible bards.

Wyverns - Wyverns are dragons whom are often tamed by humans and are often used for warfare. Most Wyverns are usually shaved of their mane as it is easier to fight and also seen as a way of cutting their bonds from their kin, this is almost always done unwillingly. Humans force a bond upon them which makes the two suffer each others pain and share emotions and thought. Of course there are some who are bonded to humans willing. Very few free wyverns still exist as wyverns for some reason are easier to control then other races.

Elemental - Made of a pure element, these dragons are unpredictable. Many think highly of themselves and look down on humans and even other dragon kinds. Their ability to control magic is immense but they have next to no physical strength each element also has a small no elemental form usually no bigger then 2-3 feet in size.

Humans
Humans, being the race with the shortest life span are the most ambitious and adventurous of them all. They come in a variety of cultures and personalities and are also the most adept at using magic. Drawing their power not from birth but from around them. Many of the other races look at humans with a bit disdain as their ruthless acts seem odd, dangerous and a bit erratic to them. Also given their short lives humans lack the wisdom many of the other races have but instead have a deeper compassion and bond for moments and each other. Most humans now are sided against the dragons and are the main race on the opposing side of the war, blaming the dragons for the world rot. Not all humans are of the same view and there are some groups whom remain neutral and some whom even fight on the dragons side though they are not easily trusted by most.

Religion- There are two main religions in the human world, Feruna the ancient ways worshiping the old Gods whom brought the dragons to the world. And Tervias the newer way focusing more on a elemental view of the world and harmony between everything. Many wars are fought between the two causing a rift between the humans, the Tervias are also the ones whom started the war between the human and dragons blaming them for breaking the harmony between elements and causing the world rot.

Elementals
A race of intellectual beings that have set up a tribal system within their own community. Though they inhabit the world the elementals choose to remain to themselves and away from the other races. They vary in sizes some are 4 - 6 inches whilst others stand to be 8 - 9 feet tall. There is no discernible variation in the sex of the the elementals. How the elementals reproduce is also a mystery. Though the different tribes carry similar physical builds within their elements looks very from tribe to tribe, ie; though fire elementals all have Humanoid bodies and serpent like tales, these features vary from tribe to tribe, some may look smooth with flames leaping off them others will look jagged and defined almost sculptured like a statue.

Fire - Humanoid upper body with a serpent style tale

Ice - Quadruped with an elongated torso, resembling a salamander.

Water - Humanoid upper body with a two fish tales to propel them through water

Energy - Avian Humanoid with bat like wings and a birds body.

Earth - Humanoid statue, walks on two legs, or some times slides long the ground like an jelly does. Is made of different substances depending on where these elementals are located i.e. some made of earth and stone. others of mod, some of sand and stones.

Air - Has no corporal form to speak off, while winds that cause debris to fly around loosely flying around it's body to show that there is a form of a phoenix like bird.

Dark - The Dark elements corporal body varies from situation to situation, it can take on a shape of a wild mountain cat or a bear, however these forms are very primal and vicious in nature and the edge outlining the body is very jagged and untamed.

Light - A mixture of all the elemental this elemental is able to manipulate its body to assist it in it's travels, i.e. if it needs to travel through water the light element will convert it's lower body into twin fish tales so that it may travel under and around water. Though it's a mixture of all the elementals it is not able to utilize all abilities of the other elementals to their full strength.

Gryphon's
The gryphon is an evil race created by the black dragon Eva in the old war. Composed out of the void of elements these black hearted demons frequent the shadow lands preying on any poor souls that enter. They use to be mounts in the old war but having lost their master they have grown more feral and feed off the lands energy. A Gryphon's main form is the of a bird mixed with a hell cat their manes and paws letting out black magic which gives off a purple red glow. They can also assume a half bird, human form and live in small clutches usually made up of 3-4 Gryphon's each. Having lost their purpose the tribes war among themselves but lately it has been noted that they are banding together causing an increase suspicion and worry among the other races.

Krhostyn
An usual race resembling a mix between a wolf and a lizard, has scales down it's back, a split tail and large front canines. Krhostyn tend to be mercs siding for whomever has the most gold giving little care to anything other then well them self. The world rot concerns them little as they believe things will work out on their own but they nudge the war along secretly from the shadows spreading rumors to both the humans and the dragons. War is a money maker after all.

The Krhostyn are made up of two tribes the Fire tribe and the Air tribe. The fire tribe is very physical oriented dealing much more in the forward dealings of war they tend to like siding with the humans as humans are more irrational and easier to fool then the dragons. The Air tribe on the other hand deals with the elements and works in the backgrounds pushing buttons where needed and letting a little information slip here and there.

Not all Krhostyn are money greedy though, their are a few tribes that are greatly concerned with the war and work hard to try and slow, possibly stop the world rot. These tribes are more noble and chose to remain neutral in the war helping out where they can with the injured on both sides.

Shadow Wolves
Shadow wolves are akin to large dire wolves though contact with the shadow element and countless ages has brought them to a state of sentient being. Their hides are of the deepest black usually having tribal like markings in another colour upon them, blue, reds and purples being most common. Their element is the dark element and they have mastered full control of it able to craft armor in which they wear into battle and even walk among the shadows using the element to travel. This method is known most commonly as shadow step or blink step.

Shadow Wolves keep to themselves mostly living in large pack communities. They revere the earth, worshiping the old Goddess Feruna and for the most part keep contact with the other races to a minimum except for the dragons, whom company they enjoy greatly. The shadow wolves side with the dragon in the war but rarely take part in conflict unless needed. The Remora tribe being the only exception, in which they actively fight and support the dragon rebellion groups to the fullest proving to be very devastating for human forces.

A Pack consist of 40-50 wolves normally, lead by an alpha male and female. Unlike their wild kin though, any rank can breed though few choose to take up the task. A shadow wolf is 10 feet at shoulder for males and 8 feet for females. Their tails are also longer then their wild kin and their eyes glow with the red or purple hue of shadow element. They have large upper canines which pass the jaw line.

Winged Elves
Said to be blessed by the phoenix God themselves the winged elves live in an enchanted glade in the middle of of the shadow lands. They are oblivious to the peril of the world around them until one day the taint finally breaks the barrier and they an attacked by an onslaught of Gryphon's. No scattered through Tranglor this high and mighty race is chucked into the middle of a war of a world they never knew existed. Great archers and adept at fire and air magic many soon find themselves entangled in the war on either sides if nothing else to find a place of belonging again.

They worship the phoenix God of fire, who is said to appear once every 1000 years and cleanse the earth with it's flames. Winged elves are tall in stature common height being 6 feet. They have red/orange feathered wings and their skin is that of a tan complexion. Hair colours vary from light blonds to reds and oranges.

Zorumn
Zorumn are a more primitive race, as though stuck back an era or two. They also worship the phoenix God. Little is known about the race as they keep to themselves and those who have met them have also met the fate of being sacrificed in hopes of appeasing their God. Zorumns are composed of a wolven like lower body though they stand on two legs with a cow tail. The upper half resembles a more human like appearance though it is covered in a velvet like fur with shaggier chest hair and clawed hands. Their faces are also similar to humans though they have longer ears and horns and carnivorous teeth. The warriors wear a mask which makes their eyes seem soulless and black and gives them a chesire grin of fangs. They tend to wear adorn themselves in feathers and bones.

Shifters
Shifters are humans who long ago attuned themselves to nature. Able to take the form of their spirit animal and are able to control the elements of nature to their fullest. A shifter does not fully resemble a human as their animal form takes effect in their looks, giving the person tails, ears, fangs, fur or scales. Shifters are neutral in the war if anything opposing both sides as they are more focused on trying to remove the taint. They are a very passionate race in everything they do and are open to creative avenues as well. And yes they make good bards.

Cleared some things up and well I'm feeling a lot better. Going to focus on the pieces I owe people for now and probably get another few chapters written of my story. Once I get the last of the contest winners out of the way I'll post the information for the world opening. My co-writer and I have been discussing a lot of the details and I think this event will be a fun one for everyone who enters. We're putting a lot of work into it.
